Synopsis

This is the second of The Stone Lions series.

14th century Grenada is under threat again, thrusting thirteen year old Sultana Ara and her cousin Layla into danger. As Ara and Layla sail down the Grenadian coast to raise tribute for the Castilians, an arrogant, spying Venetian boy, Tomas, is watching their every move. And worse, a magical and mischievous Jinn appears, causing trouble for everyone on board. The Jinn issues a mathematic challenge that Ara can’t ignore; the stakes are high and no one can a afford to lose. Ara and her friends must use all their skill to protect themselves and Grenada, but will it be enough to defeat a Jinn? And what happens to the Jinn if he loses?
