B.R.A.G. Friends

The aim of Discovering Diamonds is to review and showcase well-written historical fiction for readers to enjoy. We welcome indie-published writers because indie writers do not have the marketing backup of the big publishing houses, but if traditionally published novels come our way we’ll be happy to review them as well. We prefer e-files to be submitted (mobi and epub) and have an experienced and enthusiastic team of established reviewers.

Books we select to be reviewed will be mentioned on Twitter (@HelenHollick) look for the hashtag #DDRevs and Facebook,  and a comment will be posted on Amazon and Goodreads.  https://discoveringdiamonds.blogspot.co.uk/______________________________________________________________________________________

Expand the Table

Foodie Lit:

Definition: a genre of novels and memoirs filled with stories and food.

Each month, I’ll share the magic of a good foodie lit read and one of its recipes.Or I’ll take a good read and, with the author, find a recipe to pair with it!

Cooking and recipes in books take us into the mind of the characters and brings us into the book’s kitchen to see, smell and share the lives within.

Either way, here’s to cooking and reading together!

Great Land Services

Bookshine andReadbows

Welcome to Steph Warren – Book Reviewer and friend to indieBRAG!

Book Reviews – Free, of course!

Simply send me a copy of your book/story (any format is fine, although a MOBI copy via email to bookshineandreadbows@outlook.com is preverable if possible).

I accept any style/genre/length.

My current turnaround is 2-4 weeks, as i have a waiting list and other commitments.

Once read, i will post my review to my blog and that will automatically upload it to my Facebooks and Twitter pages.  I am happy to tag author/publisher on request and include any relevant tags you like (eg bookt title, character name, genre type).  I will also copy the main text of the review to Amazon UK and US, and Gooddreads, with a rating for those sites.

Proofreading and copy/content editing is also available.

The Alliance of Independent Authors

We are proud to be friends with The Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi)!

They are a global, nonprofit, collaborative collective of independent self-publishing writers. We invite such writers to join together in a spirit of mutual co-operation, empowerment and service to the reading and writing community.

The Alliance is committed to being a force for solidarity, mutual respect and active collaboration within the writing, publishing and book-selling sectors. As well encouraging ethics and excellence in writing, printing, publication and promotion, our aim is to promote, support, advocate for and advance the interests of independent, self-publishing authors.

In the long tradition of reading and writing communities, the Alliance supports free speech, free expression and the equality and dignity of all — regardless of race, gender, religion or sexual orientation and is outspoken in defence of artistic freedom, human rights and social justice. It is within this context that we place our core mission: the democratisation of writing and publishing.
