Synopsis

When young Harry Thompson has a canoeing accident, Lucy Baxter offers his family the use of a bungalow she owns until he recovers. But Lucy’s good intentions lead to danger for Harry and his family and others in the village and the county of Herefordshire.

Detective Inspector Dan and Cooke and his team find themselves up to their necks in a sudden crime wave around the county, involving drugs, kidnapped teenagers, arson and murder.
