About David Jackson
I am a retired consultant surgeon, after 40 years of practice. I was born in Tripoli, Libya as my father was serving in the British Army. French was my first language.
Following a public school education, I graduated from Liverpool Medical School in 1973 and commenced my surgical training. I joined the Royal Army Medical Corps and saw active service in the Falklands War, Northern Ireland and the War in the former Yugoslavia. As a result of a bad (or mad) now ex-wife, I had to leave the Army and continued practice as a civilian in Wales, UK. I retired in 2012. Presently I divide my time between UK and Spain. My four children have been replaced by four chihuahuas and that is a mystery to me.
