Synopsis

1941 and 17 year old Kitty is determined to do her bit, singing to the troops like her heroine, Vera Lynn. Joining an entertainments group (ENSA) she is sent to an army camp in Cairo. Nothing prepares her for falling desperately in love with the handsome officer, Ruggero Andreotti, an Italian POW. Although warned that she must not fraternise with the enemy she is asked to undertake an unwelcome mission. Having no choice but to obey, she knows full well it could jeopardise her future happiness.
