Synopsis

Golden glitter on her pillow is the least of Jalina (Nina) Jons’ worries when a man in a black suit arrives with news that shatters her world. Suddenly orphaned and torn from their family home, Nina and her brother Jake find themselves bound for the infamous Owenroake Children’s Home. But behind its grim facade of cruel wardens and meager gruel lies an extraordinary secret; magical “Areas” where impossible superhero powers flourish. Just as Nina uncovers her own mysterious powers at Fort Fernbottom, a treasure hunt competition turns into chaos with life-threatening odds.
