Synopsis

Former prosecutor Deidre Hunter can’t leave well enough alone. When her longtime mentor, a prominent judge, is found dead in his Baltimore home, she becomes hell-bent on tracking down his killer. Not willing to wait for the wheels of justice to turn, she launches her own investigation that puts her at odds with a conniving wealthy socialite who may hold the key to solving the murder.

Tension mounts when Deidre obtains a clue from her ex-husband and withholds it from her lover, Detective Hill Harris. Despite Hill’s warnings to leave the investigation to him, she pushes forward, falling deeper into a web of lies, lust, and betrayal.

With danger surrounding her and mistrust creating a wedge in her relationship with Hill, will Deidre ever get back what she values most?
