About Wendy Percival
Wendy Percival was born in the UK and lives in South West England.
An impulse buy of Writing Magazine prompted her to start writing seriously, and after winning a short story competition and having another story published she turned to full length fiction.
The time-honoured ‘box of old documents in the attic’ stirred her interest in genealogy and it was while researching her roots in the county of Shropshire that she had the idea for the first Esme Quentin mystery, Blood-Tied. Reading an article on convict ancestry provided the background for the second book in the series, The Indelible Stain.
Genealogy continues to intrigue her and its mysteries provide fodder for her family history secrets blog, as well as ideas for further novels. She’s currently working on the third Esme Quentin mystery, inspired by clandestine activities during the Second World War.
