About Victoria L. Thurman
Victoria Thurman was born in Austin, Texas. Her parents moved a couple more times until they settled in south Georgia in a town called Americus, between the pecan groves and the peanut fields. Her father was an English professor and her mother was an elementary school teacher. In their household Victoria, her three sisters and one brother were encouraged to be creative and independent thinkers. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Valdosta State College. She loves painting landscapes with acrylic on canvas, but has sculpted in marble and enjoyed that very much. She began writing stories when she was seven and still has the original copy of little a five-line story called “Dead Bird”, which was based on her life experience, much like her novel about Delilah. She has lived in Memphis, Atlanta, Denver, and now Chattanooga, TN. A black and white long-haired cat named Mr. Bell (or Mr. Bitey depending on the situation), camped outside her door until she finally let him in and they have been inseparable for six years now.
