Tamar started writing for fun as a teenager. The Tunnel to Darkness and Light is one of her more recent novels. Her young adult novels include Two Sisters of Fayetteville, also an Indie Brag honoree, and the books of the Vanguard Warrior Trilogy: The Fledgling’s Inferno, A Silent Evil and the soon-to-be released The Final Armada.

Tamar writes in multiple genres, including sports fiction. Another of her recent novels is Like Water and Ice, which follows figure skate Thad Moulton as he trains for the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan. She also loves historical fiction and has written multiple novels about the Romanovs: Triumph of a Tsar, Through the Fire, The Imperial Spy, and Tales of the Romanov Empire. Her short story collection, The Lonely Spirit, follows half-Comanche US Marshal L.S. Quinn as he chases criminals across the Old West. The Lonely Spirit is also an Indie Brag honoree.

Tamar has had short stories published in a number of literary journals and has also presented at writing conferences.
