About Philroy Hinds
Philroy Hinds is a United States Army Officer with over 10 years of service, a Space Operations & Engineering professional and science fiction author, hailing from New Rochelle, New York.
Between those careers, he is also a lifelong student and astronomy enthusiast, forever looking up and pondering the great mysteries of the universe.
His novel first Departure is loosely based on the events of his life, and pays tribute to the loved ones, friends, professors and rivals he has encountered over the years. To date, it has received recognition as a Finalist in the Wishing Shelf Book Awards (UK) and the National Indie Excellence Awards.
Hinds lives in Colorado with his wife, where he is hard at work on his next sci-fi adventure.
