About Ken Helfer
KEN HELFER is a self-educated writer. At nineteen, Helfer built a rustic cabin in the Ozark Mountains with hand tools while living off the grid. He spent his time reading anything and everything he could while living in the backwoods. After his time in the wilderness, he took on full-time volunteer work for several years around the US and worked with talented people from all over the world.
Over the years, he started and ran three companies—all still in business. Helfer has enjoyed the trails and forests of this beautiful planet, mountain bike riding or hiking almost daily. He lives with his wife in Durango, Colorado.
