About J.R. Alcyone
J.R. Alcyone is a consumer law attorney and award-winning nature photographer who enjoys photographing all things with beaks and feathers. Jen has a B.A. in history and philosophy from Baldwin-Wallace College, and a J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where she served as managing editor for the “Cleveland State Law Review.” An ardent believer in John Green’s assertion that fictional stories can matter, Jen’s first novel, “Five Fathoms Beneath,” is based partly on her own experiences as a cancer survivor and with bipolar disorder.
