About Holly Spofford
Holly Spofford was born and raised outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a former middle school English teacher at an all-boys school, and a writer of mysteries and thrillers, Holly creates characters from her surroundings: grocery store, bars, airports, and other places. She has been overheard saying to people, “You better be careful or you’ll end up in book three.” Her first novel, A Letter for Hoot, fulfilled a childhood dream of writing and publishing a murder mystery, whose success inspired her to write the sequel, Hot Ice, Cold Blood. She hopes to publish her third novel this year.
Outside of reading, writing and marketing her books, Holly’s hobbies include gardening, swimming and playing golf. Holly and her husband John are avid Philadelphia sports teams fans, although the Eagles are her favorite team to watch. She and John currently live in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
