About Dr. Bon Blossman

Known for both her academics and quirky charm, Dr. Bon Blossman has emerged in the entertainment industry as an exuberant television personality, confident businesswoman, and up-and-coming musician. Dr. Bon is best known for her role on four seasons of Style Network’s hit series Big Rich Texas, with the fourth season being a spin-off of her family surrounding the birth of her grandchild. Aside from Dr. Bon’s role on BRT, she is also a ten-time author, with her newest release, The Noxhelm Murders, released on Friday, October 13th, 2017. The Fiona Frost Mystery Series has won multiple literary awards, including two gold medals and a silver from Literary Classics and Reader’s Favorite. Dregs Island took the silver medal for YA mystery from Reader’s Favorite, won the Beverly Hills Book Awards for Young Adult Fiction, and was the solo Medalist Winner for YA Mystery/Thriller with New Apple Book Awards. Dr. Bon has also been involved in the commercial scene with her Claymation in a Pepsi-Cola company commercial in 2007 and starring with her daughter in a Hasbro Games commercial in 2012.

Dr. Bon earned her PhD in physiology and has published her research in multiple peer-reviewed journals. She also has served as an ad hoc reviewer for the National Science Foundation, Royal Integrative Society, and other scientific journals. She has taught courses, including biochemistry, at the college level for more than nineteen years, earning an award for fostering student achievement. Her most recent academic appointment was as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas, teaching biochemistry and parasitology.

Dr. Bon has created more than one hundred popular games and, in 2006, founded the number one murder mystery party company, My Mystery Party, which has risen to be a top source for party hosts around the world. Dr. Bon has also created the company Scavenger Planet, and Party Host 411—a spin-off from The Official Party Host Handbook that she published in 2011. Dr. Bon also published The Official Halloween Party Host Handbook in the summer of 2016.

In August 2013 Dr. Bon added the title of executive producer to her list of accomplishments. She partnered with Dallas Cowboys legends Drew Pearson and Marc Columbo as well as Dallas icon Jay Lombardo for a show that made history in Dallas, A Bronx Tale, featuring none other than the Hollywood legend Chazz Palminteri.

In 2016 Dr. Bon founded a production company, Little Ghoul Productions, LLC. The most recent project was the short film Dinner is Served. Dinner Is Served won Best Horror Short in the Hollywood Boulevard Film Festival, won the Bronze Award for the Spotlight Film Festival, and was accepted to the Cutting Edge Film Festival and the Chandler International Film Festival. Dr. Bon serves as the film’s writer and producer and is also playing a role in the film. The next short film, The Walls, will be shot in the summer of 2017.

Dr. Bon currently lives in the state capital of Texas and the live music capital of the world—Austin. In her spare time, she enjoys making 2-D animations; learning new songs with her band, DrunkLora; and filming comedy skits with her family’s YouTube show, Watch Our Show.
