About Dee L. Evans
Dee L. Evans, an avid reader of American history, hit the jackpot when she married her US Army sweetheart and traveled around the world to various assignments, her favorite being Virginia. There she fell in love with civil war history, especially the stories of the heroic women. Being in close proximity to so many battlefields enabled her to visit almost every one, and to imagine the hardships the families endured.
She also participated in many civil war roundtables and seminars.
Wanting to share this vast knowledge, she turned to writing and became a member of a local romance writers chapter where she honed her skills at story telling.
Her first published novel, CAROLINA ROAD, was a labor of love as she wove the tale of a family caught up in the unbelievable carnage and destruction when brother fought brother in America.
