About Chris Norbury

Chris Norbury is an author and freelance writer whose first novel, Castle Danger, was published in 2016. He has written articles on wilderness canoeing for the Boundary Waters Journal and is a Contributing Editor to the website Brokerage-Review.com.

An avid canoeist and camper, Norbury has regularly visited the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness since his first canoe trip with his father in 1966. All told, he’s taken almost 30 canoe trips, mostly in the BWCAW, but also several river trips in Minnesota and Wisconsin and one frightfully memorable adventure on the Missouri River in central Montana. In the past 10 years, he has branched out into BWCAW solo trips.

Norbury has been a volunteer Big Brother in his community since 2000 and donates a portion of his book profits to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota. Born and raised in the Twin Cities, he currently lives in Owatonna, MN with his wife and golf clubs. To learn more, please visit his website, chrisnorbury.com.
