About Chad Queen
Chad Queen is an author of science fantasy and children’s fiction and a game industry veteran. A game developer for nearly three decades, he contributed to the development of Tomb Raider, Marvel’s Avengers, Dungeon Siege, Supreme Commander, and Age of Empires at studios including Crystal Dynamics and Gas Powered Games.
His Phantom Pact series begins with The Bearer’s Burden and continues in The Phantom Chimera. The books blend science fiction and fantasy and move with the pace and intensity of the games he helped make. For younger readers, he wrote Eleri’s Enchantment, a rhyming tale drawn from Welsh folklore about a young witch, a curse, and the kindness that carries her through it. All three books are B.R.A.G. Medallion honorees and are published through his imprint, Encoded Press.
He lives in Washington state with his wife and two children, whose perspectives and questions keep handing him new story ideas. When he isn’t writing, he’s usually at the lathe turning wooden pens.
