About Angela McClintock
Angela Lacey McClintock is a social worker, educator, and author whose stories reveal the courage and compassion found in the darkest corners of human experience. Her debut novel, The Boy in the Basement, launched the Jennifer Riley Series—a powerful exploration of mental health, grief, and the haunting investigation into the murder of an infant. The second novel, Grave Justice, continues Jennifer Riley’s journey as she fights to protect a thirteen-year-old girl from the wrong side of the tracks caught in the web of a predator and to bring justice to those society too often overlooks.
Angela, a child welfare consultant, also teaches as a credentialed instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Social Work, where she shares her passion for advocacy, ethics, and trauma-informed practice with the next generation of social workers.
A proud native of the Deep South, she blends professional insight with heart-driven storytelling that resonates with authenticity and hope.
When she’s not writing or teaching, Angela enjoys life’s playful side with her two mischievous corgis, Loki and Odin, who remind her daily that joy and chaos often come as a pair.
