Synopsis

One September morning, Famous Author Anna Prosaic arrives at Salem Elementary School and everybody notices her. Some kids later talk about how the backs of their necks tingled as she went by, and the hair on their arms stood up.

She is mysterious, no doubt about it. Odd. Suspicious. And why would a famous author volunteer to teach a novel-writing workshop to sixth graders, anyway? She must be a witch, reasons 12-year-old Morgan, with a diabolical plan to steal away our imaginations!

Morgan and her friends do everything they can to ward off the witch’s power, but one by one they fall under her spell. Morgan knows she is the only one standing in the witch’s way and, against her will, even she feels herself falling…
