Synopsis

It’s 2021. A devastating earthquake shatters the Pacific Northwest and drains a lake by a sleepy Washington town. A hard-luck immigrant finds himself drawn into the bowels of the dried lakebed. Underneath, he discovers a . . . structure. A simulacrum. A site of inexplicable, irrational experiments since time immemorial.

Meanwhile, the town’s battle-hardened police chief is busy investigating a bizarre murder and spate of pet mutilations. Once the quake hits, the social order buckles. Reports surface of everything from UFOs and cannibalism to time travel and trans-dimensional deities. For good measure, an ex-con and musclebound sociopath goes on a sadistic rampage—at once exploiting and contributing to the chaos of a world already teetering on the edge. Welcome to the apocalypse.
