The Voice of the Dolphins

The Voice of the Dolphins
B.R.A.G Medallion Honeree

The Voice of the Dolphins, my book on 33 years work with dolphins and whales, covers extraordinary underwater encounters with dolphins, killer whales and sperm whales, efforts to stop the slaughter of dolphins in Japan and in the tuna fishery and links between marine toxins and disease in humans and dolphins. It also tells of my diagnosis of multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer connected to chemical contamination and the astonishing genetic links that bind humans and dolphins in a shared fate. Finally, it points to desperately needed and totally doable ways to end using the oceans as a chemical waste dump.

What Constitutes a Self-Published or indie Book?

To the best of our knowledge, all of the books listed here were self-published. That is, they were published by authors without the involvement of traditional or mainstream publishing companies, independent publishers, or presses. Most, if not all of these authors have availed themselves of the fee-based professional assistance provided by self-publishing companies such as Amazon’s CreateSpace, Kindle Direct Publishing, or one of the imprints of Author Solutions, Inc., but they have maintained all their rights and assumed the responsibility for content, cover design, pricing, promotion and customization.
