Narrow Marsh

Narrow Marsh
B.R.A.G Medallion Honeree

Nottingham 1811. With low wages and long working hours for Nottingham's framework knitters, desperate men turn to direct action and machine breaking. And when a raid goes wrong and a man dies, someone has to pay the ultimate price. James Daniels, a friend of the condemned man, takes his son William to the public execution and from that day onwards young William develops a burning desire for justice and freedom. But when William befriends the headstrong daughter of a wealthy factory owner, little does he realise the dangers that lie ahead and the extent to which their contrasting backgrounds will affect himself, his family and their own futures.

What Constitutes a Self-Published or indie Book?

To the best of our knowledge, all of the books listed here were self-published. That is, they were published by authors without the involvement of traditional or mainstream publishing companies, independent publishers, or presses. Most, if not all of these authors have availed themselves of the fee-based professional assistance provided by self-publishing companies such as Amazon’s CreateSpace, Kindle Direct Publishing, or one of the imprints of Author Solutions, Inc., but they have maintained all their rights and assumed the responsibility for content, cover design, pricing, promotion and customization.
